How often does the aeration system need to run?
This is highly dependent on the application and conditions. But in general, an aeration system does not need to run continuously. This can be best done best by trial and error. By measuring the oxygen level and temperature at different times, one can determine the minimum running hours without negative effects for the water quality / oxygen level. By putting the pump on a timer switch energy savings are easily achievable.
